In emergency services, time is everything…..

Through strategic placement of department’s 5 fire stations, the department ensures both advanced medical life support and fire/rescue response within the NFPA standard of 4 minutes or less to over 96% of the City.

Every station and piece of Fire/EMS equipment is critical to service delivery. If any unit is unavailable, response times can increase resulting in a proportional increase in the potential loss of life and property in a fire or rescue incident as well as decreased survivability of a citizen needing EMS advanced life support.

It is the reason firefighters and paramedics take such pride in their quick turn out and response to an emergency. They know seconds can make the difference.
